Division L selects reps to nat’l speech contests

MALATE, MANILA — Contestants from Area 92 and Area 95 won in the Division L speech contests at LANDBANK Plaza, September 9.

Kenley Liong ACB of Maharlika Toastmasters Club (Area 92) attained the championship in the Humorous Speech contest, with Fred Baldo ACB of Governors and Friends Toastmasters Club (Area 94) as first runner-up.

On the other hand, Bruno Tangangco CC CL of LANDBANK Toastmasters Club (Area 95) was declared champion in the Evaluation Speech contest, followed by Amir Acosta CC CL of Maharlika Toastmasters Club as first runner-up.

Kenley and Bruno will vie for the District (national) Championship in their respective contests during the Midyear Convention (Midcon) in Bacolod City, October 13-15.

Other speech contestants were Diana Agbayani ACG of UP Manila Toastmasters Club and Jay Macasieb ACB of LDS Toastmasters Club.

More than 70 Toastmasters and guests attended the contest.
